Gresik United Sick Of The Sight Of East Kalimantan
When it comes to home form Gresik United are pretty damned decent. With two wins and two draws from their four games at Petrokimia Stadium they are a tough nut to crack though they will think they should have picked up maximum points from their game with PS TNI which they dominated.
But away they are not so bright. Oh yes, the season started well with a 1-0 win against Persela in the East Java derby but since then their road trips have descended into nightmares as they have lost all four games since then with seemingly ever increasing margins

30/06 - Persiba 3-5
The latest setback came last night after they took the lead away to Persiba through Ghozali Siregar. The home team responded with goals from Ledi Utomo, a pair from Shohei Matsunaga, Heri Susanto and Abdul Aziz Lutfi Akbar in a rampant 47 minutes that destroyed Gresik. Inkyun Oh and Patrick da Silva, with his fourth in three games, hit two more for the visitors but the damage had been done and Gresik were looking at yet another flight home from Borneo with nothing to show but a battered goal difference.
Their three trips to the island Indonesians know as Kalimantan has seen them concede 13 goals, scoring four in the process. And at some stage they have to return to face highflying Mitra Kukar!
At least their next four games don't involve any trips over water. They face Madura United at home next weekend followed by the short trip too Sidoarjo to play Bhayanglara Surabaya United. They then face Mitra Kukar and Bali United in back to back home games.
