Indonesia Super League

Arema v Pelita Bandung Raya 3-0 (Alberto Goncalves 2, Gustavo Lopez) 11,814

Arema returned to the top of the western conference of the ISL after a fairly comfortable win over PBR at the Kanjuruhan Stadium in front of a pretty smallish crowd considering it was a Saturday night.

PBR ended the game with 10 men after Boban Nikolic received a second yellow in the second half. It could have been worse had the ref seen Agus Indra Kurniawan's elbow on 51 minutes. He received a yellow for a dig that would have done someone shopping on Orchard Road proud.

With Persib playing at Persegres today, Arema's lead may not last long!

Perspiura v PSM 1-1 (Paulin Pierre Bio; Rahmat) 9,895

It's been a funny old start to the campaign for champions Persipura. They have yet to begin firing on all cylinders but as long as they remain unbeaten, I am not sure coach Jacksen F Tiago will be too unhappy.

This was the Black Pearls fourth draw in seven games and it keeps them at the right end of the table. For PSM, they will look on this as a result well earned, especially as it followed on from a 1-0 win away to Perseru.

Four points from a trip to Papua is never to be sniffed at.

Persela v Persiba Bantul 2-0 (Taufiq Kasrun, Zaenal Arifin) 12,809

If Persipura do insist on dropping points at home then Persela are just going to carry on taking advantage. This win took the East Java side to the top of the table on the day they celebrated their anniversary.

Whether they stay there or not is another matter. Both Persipura and Mitra Kukar are three points behind with a game in hand while the East Kalimantan have a slightly superior goal difference.
