Another disappointing crowd at Bung Tomo Stadium saw Persebaya initially struggle to break down a determined Perseru defence well marshalled by Patrick Seme and co.

With Perseru down to 10 men, it could have been a rout with the home team guilty of over elaboration in the final third. 

After the game, the Perseru coach felt the ref had been intimidated by the home team players but in truth, after showing some spirit early on, his team did fade.

The result moved Persebaya up to second in the eastern conference.

Arema enjoyed 24 hours at the top of the western conference before Persib brushed aside Gresik at the Petrokimia Stadium in East Java.

When the western conferences only unbeaten team took on its only winless team the end result was obvious! Both records ended at the Brawijaya Stadium allowing Persik to leap frog Persijap and to move within one point of Gresik United.

The Development Derby anyone?!

It took Jordan Webb to give the young Lions victory just three minutes from the end of this SLeague game played in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.

Having taken the lead twice, earlier, this time there was not enough for the Malaysians to claw their way back and Young Lions crossed the Causeway turning handstands and double twists.

It was Young Lions first win of the season while the hosts have yet to record their first point, no doubt engendering mass shame for their compatriots. Still, they can take some pride in scoring two goals in 14 minutes...their first three goals had taken seven games!
