Ex Arsenal Players Land In Thailand

There has been one or two ex Arsenal players try their luck in Southeast Asia over the years.

One of the first would have been the late, reat David Rocastle who had a short spell with Sabah in Malaysia.

I seem to recall reading in Niall Quinn's book he had talks with Selangor but didn't fancy the move for some reason.

More recently Christopher Wreh had half a season with Perseman in Indonesia while Rhys Weston followed in Rocky;s footsteps by spending last season with Sabah.

There was also a couple of Arsenal trainees who had stints in Singapore though their names elude me.

Now it seems Thailand is the place to be with suggestions Rohan Ricketts trialling wuth Army United while Jay Simpson has joined Buriram United where he is likely to undergo one hell of a culture shock while Jay Bothroyd has hoined Muang Thong United.

You know what, if I was sadder and younger, I might try and get the three of them to sign an old Arsenal handbook they appear in!
