PSSI Takes Action On Match Fixing

Stop laughing at the back!

This refers to an Indonesia Premier League Play Off between Bontang and PSLS.

Both clubs have been relegated to Division Three, imagine something below the Combined Counties in England, and banned for two years as well as fined Rp 100 million.

Players and coaches have also been sanctioned and the PSSI have informed FIFA of the match fixing and the fines, suspensions involved.

No doubt FIFA will stand up and give a spontaneous round of applause to PSSI for their diligence in the fight against this heinous crime.

So far be it for me to piss on anyone's triumphant parade but this smacks as much of settling old scores as tackling match fixing.

Both clubs were part of the IPL, both were in the running for a place in next season's Indonesia Super League...
