Persikabo Swoop For Baretto

Paraguayan striker Aldo Baretto has been one of the most prolific strikers in Indonesian footballers over the last few seasons.

Since landing on these shores back in 2006 with PSM, Baretto has scored freely with his wiki entry suggesting he has scored 94 goals in the Indonesia Super League for PSM, Persisam, Bontang, Persiba and Gresik United.

Heady stats whch begs the question why could such a prolific striker be forced to try his luck in 2014 with Divisi Utama side, Persikabo?

No disrespect meant of course, they are an ambitious club who have their own large support and only just missed out on promotion to the ISL via the play offs but with the likes of Edward Wilson Junior and Sergio van Dijk moving on from Semen Padang and Persib respectively, why didn't one of the bigger clubs step in for him?

Certainly though, by moving for Baretto, Persikabo are thinking big and are eying a return to the ISL.
