Sriwijaya's Search For A Coach
After last season's disappointment, Sriwijaya have started planning early for next season which, I can exclusively reveal, will not start this week.
Sriwijaya finished 5th in the last campaign, a whopping 25 points behind champions Persipura. They even managed a negative goal difference, losing four of their last five games.
A failure for the team from Palembang who have been one of the major forces in the game in recent years.
Since winning the Liga Indonesia and Indonesia Cup double in 2008, they have gone on to lift the Indonesia Super League, the Cup in two more occasions, the Community Shield and the pre season Inter Island Cup twice.
Intererstingly, the names in the mix, at the moment at least, are all Indonesian.
Kas Hartadi, Subangkit, Salahuddin and Widodo C Putra.
