Liberians In Demand. And Not
Persipura's silky midfielder, Zah Rahan, has announced he wants to try his luck in Malaysia. After several years in Indonesia where he has won titles, cups and the player of the year award Rahan has impressed many with his talent.
No news yet of which team in Malaysia that I have found but mention has been made of Johor Darul Takzim, the big spending team who recently snapped up Pablo Aimar for next season.
Another long term Liberian who has been targeted by a foreign team is Edward Wilson Junior of Semen Padang. He has been linked with a move to Mohan Bagun in India.
Wilson was injured on Tuesday playing against East Bengal, Mohan's city rivals, in the AFC Cup.
Meanwhile after a disappointing season by their standards, Sriwijaya have released four of their foreigners including two Liberians. Eric Weeks Lewis and Boakay Eddie Foday have been told they are surplus to requirements as the team from Palembang look to start afresh next season.
