Fandi Severs Ties With Johor DT
SINGAPORE - Fandi Ahmad has resigned as team manager of Malaysian Super League (MSL) team Johor Darul Takzim with immediate effect.
The 51-year-old former Singapore skipper, who was stood down from his position as chief coach of Johor DT last month and redesignated as team manager, had tendered his resignation to the Johor Football Association (JFA) last week, but it was only accepted by the JFA’s Council yesterday.
COMMENT - this was always on the cards once he was shifted to the manager's role. I guess the club wanted him out but didn't want to sack him with the costs involved.
