SAFFC Name Change
One of the proudest names in Singapore football is no more.
Singapore Armed Forces have changed their name to The Warriors.
Um, ok. Never been a big fan of clubs named like Armed Forces, ATM, Siam Navy etc but The Warriors? Sounds like a cheesy 70's gang flick.
They have also appointed some retired soldier as Adviser what ever that means. Could he be a Global Advisor like Shebby Singh at Blackburn? But at least Shebby played the game. This new adviser has 30 plus years of yes sir, no sir and that will help a football club how?
In the squad for this coming season is Kazuyuki Toda who played for Japan in 2002 World Cup
