Akiyoshi The Bulgar
For me last year, or was it the year before, Taisuke Akiyoshi (pictured left scoring for SAFFC against Sengkang Punggol in 2010) was one of the most exciting players in the SLeague playing for SAFFC. Unfortunately he couldn't keep his early season form going all year and faded.But other noted his potential and after being released by SAFFC he has now signed for Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia.
His chance came because, no doubt, he showed a good, positive attitude and even when things were not going so well continued to give 100%.
This news comes days after a former Arsenal trainee, Oliver Nicholas, was released by Geylang United before he had kicked a ball in anger.
