Indonesia have hosted the SEA Games on three occasions, 1979, 1987, 1997, and reached the final on each occasion. They have never appeared in a final when the games were hosted by other nations.
Malaysia have appeared in three finals when the year ended in a 9. Shades of Tottenham, a small club from North London for those that don't know, who boasted they won trophies everytime the year ended in a 1.
Thailand appeared in nine straight finals, winning the last eight.
Singapore have finished 3rd on a record five times.
Cambodia, Philippines, Laos, Timor Leste, Brunei have never finished in the top three.
