Good News For Lions
I guess better late than never. Singapore will be allowed to bring Hariss Harun, Khairul Nizam and Safuwan Baharuddin will be allowed to join up for their team mates at the SEA Games in Jakarta.
The trio are currently undergoing National Service in Singapore and there were fears they would not be allowed to take time off to represent their country.
Without going into the rights and wrongs of a compulsory National Service surely representing your country is a form of national service innit? It does seem daft a player could forsake a couple of years of what is already a short career just to don a uniform and say yes sir, no sir.
