Narrow Win For Persib

In the battle of the cellar dwellers last night Persib defeated Bontang 1-0 thanks to a goal from Christian Gonzalez. It was only Persib's second win of the season and came on the heels of a 4-1 trouncing by Sriwijaya.

New coach Daniel Roekito, their 3rd of the season, rung the changes ruthlessly. Out went Baihakki Khaizan while Shahril Ishak, Pablo Frances and Indonesian national team keeper Markus Horison were on the bench.

The changes to the starting line up may have been a result of the Sriwijaya defeat or Roekito may just have been resting players in the middle of a hectic schedule.

12/01 v Sriwijaya (A)
16/01 v Bontang (A)
20/01 v Persisam (A)
23/01 v Arema (H)
30/01 v Persiwa (A)

That's a lot of bloody travelling!
