A Familiar Face To Return?
Former SLeague side Tanjung Pagar are considering a return to the SLeague according to this report. But would the SLeague, with their expressed penchant for foreign clubs, last year they decided to let in Beijing Guoan rather than Yishun Super Reds with disasterous results, be willing to let them back?
Also rumoured to be in the frame for an SLeague spot are champions Etoile ( I guess they're not guaranteed), an English/British side and there was also talk of a Brazilian team. If Yishun also reapply there could be a surfeit of local teams...no bad thing of course but when you consider the Singapore FA said they didn't want to enter the AFC Champions League because they preferred to have foreign teams in their league...
