Robson's Future
At the post match press conference folowing Thailand's exit from the AFF Cup Robbo said that as far as he was concerned he still had a contract but that he would be talking with the head of the Thai FA to discuss matters.
That will be an interesting conversation. The Thais of course were supposed to have voted for England in their World Cup 2018 bid before jumping ship in the final run in. And this after England had agreed to play a friendly in Bangkok next year.
The English FA have actively courted Thai support for their bid over recent years and the friendly next year was meant to be a way of saying thank you or khap khun khrap.
But will Robbo want to stay working for someone who has been quick to use England for his own benefit while dropping them when it suited him to do so? 90 caps for his country, a proud Englishman, who could blame him if he didn't want to carry on in such circumstances?
