MALAYSIA CUP FINAL:
Kelantan 2-1 winners over Negeri Sembilan in a spirited game in front of 85,000+ at Bukit Jalil.
Full match coverage shown on Astro Arena (channel 801) and RTM.
An injury to centre back Aidil Zafuan was the turning point of the game. When he went off with a knee injury Negeri leading 1-0, the re-organisation of the team completely changed the flow of the game.
Two goals in 6 second half minutes from Hairuddin Omar and midfielder Badri Radzi won it for the North Eastern State.
For Hairuddin Omar, it was back-to-back titles and Cup goals as he scored FOR Negeri AGAINST kelantan in last year's final.
Incredible turn-out by thr Kelantanese. 60,000 of them in the stadium that was a sea of red.
SINGAPORE CUP SEMI-FINAL:
Less than 2,000 on hand the night before at Jalan Besar to see a technically excellent match between Thailand's Bangkok Glass and Singapore's French league leaders Etoile.
Finished 1-1, though Glass hit the woodwork twice late on, while Etoile also hit the post in the first half.
