More friendlies planned

Following defeat at home to Uruguay and a convincing win over a weak Maldives Indonesia are looking at two more opponents ahead of the ASEAN Federation Cup.

Apparently Paraguay have been scheduled for 17 November while either North Korea or Ivory Coast will play on 11 November. If any of them fail to materialise, as if, then China and/or Timor Leste are waiting in the wings just itching to play Indonesia.

This ability to leave everything to the last minute is not poor planning. rather it is an art form developed over decades of sitting on one's hands and waiting for summat to happen.

Mind you the FIFA website is less grand, suggesting Hong Kong on 21 November and Timor Leste on 24 November.

At least Indonesia appear to be actively tracking down potential opponents.

Thailand, who are in the same group as Indonesia along with Malaysia and one other, have arranged no games ahead of the AFF Cup though they did last week play Leicester City which would have been great preparation.

Likewise nothing is scheduled yet for Malaysia. Perhaps Zimbabwe or Togo weren't available!
