Young Lions fall out continues
Following the handbags at 20 paces between Young Lions and Beijing Guoan in the SLeague the game's governing body, the FAS, is looking to act quickly with both teams told to file reports by the 14 September.
Young Lions manager Eugene Loo said that 'such incidents are unacceptable and the players are very remorseful for their actions.' while captain Hariss Harun says that the players are 'very sorry' and 'as players, we understand that we must maintain our discipline and professionalism at all times. We apologise to our fans, coaches and technical staff for the incident. We know that such behaviour was unacceptable and we are regretful of our actions.'
Everyone seems to be rushing to say the right things but you can't help but wonder whether a different tune is being sung once the media releases have been, umm, released.
I've said on a few occasions that while no-one doubts the talent of some of the Young Lions questions will remain about their temperament. Would you want them in the trenches when the biggest hardship they face is not getting a seat on the MRT on the way to training.
Perhaps this incident has answered a few questions.
For now all games featuring the teams have been postponed while the FAS get busy.

Hi "me"...
It was the darkest day in Singapore football and everyone whom I met been asking me "what happened?"
Clearly, I don't have the answer myself when I was not at the game that night...

Stop blaming the young lions when u know nothing about the incident. They are simply being attacked by the Beijing Guoan players and benched. And when you get attacked and you try to defend yourself, you get categorized as being involved in the fight or brawl?
They having easy life? I think your life is easier, just making money by being an Ang Moh spouting nonsense, and worse, and in poor English.

I've seen some of the action. Feel sorry for the lad that got booted straight in the face!!
Best news to come out of this game with only 2 minutes remaining is that they will play the whole game again!!
What a result. A game played in front of no fans will now more than likely have the biggest crowd of the season!!
As for what happened last night? Nothing more than in any other game. Cheap insults, hard challenges. I can't actually believe this happened in a youth team S.League game!!

I hope they'll have a proper disciplinary action for this. Looking on a lighter side they now get a big PR coverage. though, its a bad one but if they handled it properly t could come out really good.
I hope the chinese player that kick lion's player at the back of his head will get what he deserve. by the way do you have any update about the bloke that got kick at the back of his head? I hope he's ok.
