Results 09/06 - Stags mauled but where are the fans?

Etoile v Tampines Rovers 4-0 (Frederic Mendy 2, Kevin Yann, Matthias Verschave) 2,056
Etoile are the new leaders of the SLeague brushing aside Tampines last night at the Jalan Besar Stadium in front of less people than you would find on an average MRT. The Stags have now picked up just four points in their last four games seeing their lead at the top eaten away and now it is they who sit two points behind the Frenchies.
The French imports, who have already won the League Cup, have struggled to score this season but last night they found their shooting boots against a fading Tampines. Mendy now has 12 for the season, making him the leading scorer so far and surely putting himself in the shop window around Asia. He's big, he's strong, he's young and he scores goals. That ticks most cosches boxes.
At the other end yet another clean sheet. It makes the goal conceded against Phnom Penh Crown look more like complacency than a structual failing. Just nine conceded all season. And one defeat.
That's title winning standards.

i will hv to disagree with ur post that there were no fans at this game..i was at the game and i can tell u for sure, it had more ppl then on a busy market street in jarkata on sunday..........
i was being ironic!
i noted the crowd was 2000 + which is a shame because it should have been a lot more for such a fixture.
i look forward to the day when a game of this magnitude can draw in excess of 5,000

yep its a pity but sleague attendances are slowly picking up, with is a gd thing....and considering this was a midweek game and $10 ticket (normally its $5bucks). i think it was still good.....
also coz its a telecast match, so the sleague officials basically use team logo banners to cover th eopposite side of the stadium to prevent empty seats showin on tv.......but u shld have sat on the tampines rovers fans area, they were gunning for blood!!!!!!!!!!! haaha

but i felt the ref made a very negative decision for the sendinf off.it was not warranted and with only seconds left in the 1st half..that was the sucker punch
