Indonesia Cup

Sriwijaya v Persisam 2-2 (Zah Rahan, Rahmat Rivai; Pipat Thonkanya 2)

Persija v PSMP 4-0 (Bambang Pamungkas 2, Mustafic Fahruddin, Ismed Sofyan)

Sriwijaya are in danger of slipping out of the Indonesia Cup, a trophy they have won in the last two years. They had to come from behind twice against a determined Persisam team and now are left having to win their final game against PSMP on Friday with a cricket score to proceed to the next round. Sriwijaya of course play Thai Port on Wednesday in the AFC Cup before PSMP on Friday while Persija and Persisam meet on Wednesday.

To add to their woes, Sriwijaya supporters boycotted the match after incidents on Saturday which some supporters involved in a punch up with some of the players.

So let me get this straight. In Indonesian football the fans fight the fans. The players fight the players and the match officials. And now we have the fans and the players fighting each other...never a dull moment.

Gombak United v Balestier Khalsa 0-1 (Nurhilmi Jasni) 1,577

Heady stuff from Balestier as they move into nosebleed territory. A 5th win of the season sees them within two points of champions SAFFC. Gombak on the other hand look back on two red cards in two games and five dropped points.
