Jakmania on tour
The ISL season starts on Sunday and with it an absolute corker between Arema and Persija in Malang. Last season of course Persija used Arema's stadium 'cos Jakarta police had decreed no football during the election.
Now of course there is the Singapore collection. Lining up in the Arema blue will be Noh Alam Shah and Muhamed Riduan while Mustafic Fahruddin and Baihakki Kaizin will be sporting the Persija orange.
Persija fans set off on Saturday morning by train from Senen Station in Jakarta and I'm dead jealous. What should be an excellent road trip and I'll be stuck in Malaysia taking in a Malaysia Cup tie in front of a crowd of dozens.
There will be more Persija fans in one railway carriage, there will be more Arema fans in one bus than there will be at the game I get to Saturday night.
