Thai teams dominate Singapore Cup
It's been a torrid season thus far for Singapore. The national team has struggled, even Liverpool beat them, the Young Lions preperations for the SEA Games are floundering without a recognised goal scorer and DPMM (from Brunei) won the League Cup.
Last night in the Singapore Cup Thai side TTM Samut Sakhorn defeated DPMM 3-1 in front of 1,506 fans at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Paul Bekombo gave the Smokers the lead on 16' before adding a second on the hour mark. Abu Bakar Mahari pulled one back for DPMM but Aly Camara made it safe for TTM on 89'.
That means both Thai teams, TTM and Bangkok Glass take leads into the 2nd legs.
Tomorrow night sees Geylang United take on current in form team Home United. Nothing tonight 'cos Manchester United are playing.
