Dian wants a move

Pelita Jaya's promising young keeper Dian Agus Prasetyo is reported to be looking for a move at the end ofthe season. He impressed in 2007 but lately has been performing erratically between the sticks despite being a regular name in Beny Dollo's national team get togethers.

Dian is at the right age to consider a move abroad. He will only learn from the experience and hopefully could start a trend where Indonesia is seen as a valuable talent pool in places like Japan or Australia, both raising the profile of the game here and the players overseas.

The likes of Bambang Pamungkas and Elie Aiboy have done good jobs in Malaysia but there is little challenge in moving to a country that speaks the same language and has pretty much the same culture.

Results in the ACL recently and the AFF Cup have shown Indonesia's players to be talented but limited. By having some go abroad at relatively young ages can only better their careers and better the national team.
