PSMS v Persik 2-1

A rare win for PSMS, their second of the season, came in dramatic fashion at the end of this yawn fest. The Medan side had taken the lead through Affandi after a couple of shots had been charged down. However with moments left on the clock Khusnul Yuli equalised with a speculative effort from 25 yards that had Markus Horison, playing against his old team, diving despairingly.

Both teams went for the three points in a ding dong injury time but it was new signing Esteban, from Persikota, who got the home side three points with a free header right at the death. And oh how did the Persik players drop to the ground.

About 1,500 witnessed the fun and games at Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung and for me it was a relief to see some goals. It was also my second PSMS game of the season, the first was at Bung Karno in Jakarta! You gotta feel for their home town fans in Medan but those that turned up today put on a show and got their just reward.
