Impressive Indonesia

It started from the back where Markus Horison dominated his area from start to finish, apart from one time when he thought he was Ronald Koeman, and it flowed through the team.

First half especially Indonesia attacked in numbers. Bambang and Budi were ably supported by Firman Utina and Arif Suryono and it was the sublime Budi Sudarsono who gave the home team a deserved lead. Minutes later and Firman Utina scored a beauty.

It wasn't done and dusted, far from it, but Indonesia were playing with a fluency and aggression sorely lacking from much of their recent tour of Myanmar.

Ismed Sofyan, Persija's reluctant full back, threatened every time the Indonesians were given a free kick on the edge of the box. There were times when this was a most un Indonesian display and indeed scoring three goals from open play in a competitive match?

Myanmar were the joker in the pack. Could they do anything away from home? Well, with Yan Paing proving a handful anything was possible but that Horison...he made everything airborne his.

Nothing guaranteed in football but if Indonesia don't qualify for the semis I will buy everyone a beer on the 32nd December, can't say fairer than that!

any indonesian forums that i can check out?
sth similar to kallangroar.com. maybe one of their club where they discuss national team matters too?

used to be a site called www.ligaindonesia.com which had loads of boards

why not try www.bolaindo.com
it's in bahasa indonesia

Impressive start.
I'll say the team will deteriorate (but still win) against Cambodia

And Benny Dollo will refuse to play the reserve team against Singapore thus resulting in a defeat.

Then we'll get slaughtered in the semis coz the players are running out of steam.

yesterday it was clear either the players were spent or they were holding something back towards the last 15-20 mins or so as Myanmar started to press but luckily the were pretty clueless
