A Genuine Shock
In last night's League Cup, Balestier Khalsa became the first team to win at the Warriors Arena since colour TV was introduced after they beat SAF 3-0.
Yep, 3-0!
Of course SAF were without the likes of Duric and Wilkinson, preparing in Tashkent for Saturday's WCQ but this result will stll send shock waves through the game in Singapore.
Doubt the media were watching though...
Mba Vitus Onyekachi 3', Faizal Amir 20', and Paul Bekombo 67' did the damage. It will be remembered Khalsa also went to Home United earlier in the season and beat them 2-1 while also drawing 0-0 against fellow strugglers Sengkang Punggol.
In the other game last night Super Reds beat Albirex Niigata 3-0 at Yishun Stadium with the wonderfully named Oh Dog Yi getting the first.
