Hamkah heads east
Hamkah Hamza and M Roby have left Persija and signed for Persik whose new coach Arcan Iurie is slowly rebuilding a side to challenge for honours next season. Both Hamkah and Roby are expected to tighten a defence that was notoriously leaky last season.
Hamkah is a ball playing centre half who impressed when he slotted in alongside Abanda Herman in the second half of last season. There were however questions about his temperment and perhaps his having to be substituted during the Liga play off against Sriwijaya on the advise of the referee was the final straw.
M Roby's move is more of a surprise. He has done a good job for Persija in his short time in the team, winning best young player of the season.
