Copa Quarter Finals
With the Liga done and dusted until the Play Offs later this month focus returns to the Copa Indonesia with the Q/F second legs taking place this week.
First up, tomorrow, sees Persija host Sidoarjo Deltras at Lebuk Bulus and club officials are expecting another full house as Persija compete for a domestic double. Having drawn 1-1 in Sidoarjo in the first leg Persija will be slight favourites but The Lobster, daft nickname, will be inspired by their foreign legion of Claudio Pronetto, Hilton Moreria and Jose Sebastian.
Friday sees the action move to Jayapura where local heroes Persipura take on Persekabpas. The East Javanese have struggled this season and never looked like making the cut for Liga Super next season. A 2-2 draw in the first leg favours the Black Pearls from Papua.
On Saturday night we have the Sumatran Derby, Sriwijaya Palembang v PSMS. Medan have a 2-0 advantage from the first leg and have a notoriously tight defence but will it be enough to snuff out a Sriwijaya side that can seemingly score goals fro fun at home?
The final fixture has Pelita Jaya taking on Persita at the Jalak Harpaut Stadium in Soreang, West Java. Persita coach Benny Dollo is on a hat trick this year having won the Copa in the last two seasons with Arema. Pelita Jaya have a good home record but Persita have done well on the road this season in the Copa.
