Dortmund game again
No idea about tickets but I imagine they will be available on the day.
In what appears to be a sensible move by the authorities here the friendly match with Borussia Dortmund will see a Liga Select line up against the Germans.
Only players, both foreign and local, not involved in Liga Indonesia games immediately prior to the Dortmund game will be called up. That's a good decision as it ensures the primacy of the domestic while game while at the same time recognising the value of a quality European side visit these shores.
Also of interest is the choice of coach for the Select. Ivan Kolev has been overlooked, perhaps he wants to get home for Christmas, and Persita coach Benny Dollo will take time out from his pursuit of a Top 4 place as well as Copa glory to prepare the team that could well include the Persik pair of Gonzalez and Fagundez.
Does this mean Bendo, as he is familiarly known here, is being groomed to replace Kolev should the SEA Games end in debacle? Obviously Benny is saying nothing but tongues wag.
The other slant of course is that with many other clubs in domestic action that week Benny is the only coach available...but if I recall Persita were due to host Persib 24 hours before the prestige friendly at Bung Karno.
Interesting eh?
