Liga Primer Indonesia Latest

With FIFA threatening fire, hail and brimstone if the PSSI can't take control of the rebel LPI, they're not worried about corruption and match fixing, just the thought that somebody is doing their job, the league itself carries on regardless though with the threat of Indonesia being suspended from international football, World Cup qualifiers begin later this year, it remains to be seen whether the LPI will allow things to get that far.

On the pitch Persema, with their galaxy of stars including Irfan Bachdim and Kim Jeffrey, lead the table after eight games, two points clear of Semarang United.

Bachdim is also joint top scorer in the league, his winner against Bali Devata at the weekend was his seventh of the season.

Bandung defeated Minangkabau 1-0 to record their first win of the season. Now, only Cendrawasih Papua remain the only team with a win to their name.
