PSMS evacuation

You would think that a credible runners up spot in last season's Liga would have encouraged PSMS Medan to think big for the coming season but patently that isn't the case. First the coach left for Persebaya, a club playing in the second tier next season, now the players are packing their toothbrushes and heading south.

Persik have done very well, signing playmaker Gustavo Chena as well as Indonesian striker Saktiawan Sinaga and captain Legimin Raharjo. Rommy Diaz and Masperi Kasim interestingly have moved to PSP Minang in a lower division while Julian Mbom has moved to Persema.

PSMS were known to have money issues last season but with this exodus, and it ain't over yet, one wonders just who will want to go there for the Liga Super?

Persema have been active in the close season also recruiting I Komang Putra (PSIS), Harry Saputra (Persis), Aris Budi Prasetyo (Persik) among others.
