EPL Tours Boost Local Game
Not my words, them's the opinions of the EPL spokesman whatever his name is.
My latest Jakarta Globe column doesn't necessarily agree with that!

Article is spot on! I do think these tours could be beneficial to some countries but certainly not Hong Kong, Malaysia or Thailand.
In the USA and Australia it helps bringout casual soccer fans who might not have tasted live soccer otherwise and as a result might consider going to local matches. In a country like India it could help local organizers learn more about event management.
As I've previously stated the friendlies should be foreign club vs. local club. No national, all-star or select teams. That would give local clubs and leagues good exposure.
