Indonesian Football Moves In Mysterious Ways

You would think that a home game against a side that struggles on the road would be seen as an opportunity to chalk up three points in an indifferent season.

You would think that an insipid performance against Pelita Jaya, winning 1-0, would have seen some butts kicked and some improved performances.

You would think that with a handful of players all but out the door the coach would have plumped for players who will still rely on a Persib cheque come March.

Semen Padang have not won away all season yet they seem to be handling Persib ok, leading 1-0 at hal time with the home team missing a late first half penalty. But for all their 'star' names, Persib yet again seem to have trouble firing on any cylindar, let alone one.

Changes have been made after the Pelita Jaya game but the players on the field still seem to lack any bite, any penetration.

For one of the biggest clubs in the country with some of the biggest names and one of the largest supports, yet again Persib seem to flounder.
