It Looks So Clinical!
Not sure if Thai coach Bryan Robson reads the Thai English language papers but if he does you can imagine him choking on his third Shredded Wheat after reading this tale of woe.
v Singapore 0-1 First home defeat to Lions in 34 years
v Iran 0-1 First time failed to qualify for Asian Cup in 23 years
v Lao 2-2 First time failed to defeat Lao in 41 years
v Indonesia 1-2 First time ever failed to qualify for AFF Cup semi finals
Throw in failure to qualify for the SEA Games second round for the first time in 36 years and defeat to Vietnam in the 2008 AFF Cup Final and you can see why Thai fans are unhappy chappys these days and are demanding McD step down.
God luck on that one. The Teflon Man is a canny political operator and like his counterpart in Indonesia will do everything in his power to cling on to his job and the accompanying perks and profile that come with it.
