Yippee! Chelsea are coming to Asia
Near pissed me pants I did when I heard that Chelsea, the Russian funded pretenders, announced they would be coming to Asia next year to smile at their fans from afar and ask people to join their supporters clubs, sign up for some magazine subscriptions and give a few lucky souls free tickets to a game in Stamford Bridge.
One of them by the way is bullshit but which one?
Anyway if you fancy seeing the sooper dooper blues don't forget to leave your missus at home. Pack your camera and expect to see a bunch of sulking ungrats walking round town locked in their own i-pod world feigning ignorance of your presence in their august company.
Oh and I just loved this bit. 'We are looking forward to bringing the club closer to the fans with a year of activities including our world-renowned community coaching scheme'
World renowned eh? Says who? I never heard of it neither has the geezer who delivers my newspaper and even Mabel, who is usually pretty clued in on matters football has never heard of it.
21 July - Malaysia XI v Chelsea - Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
24 July - Thailand XI v Chelsea - Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok.
There's also a couple of dates in Hong Kong at some English Prostitute League Cup where they will be joined by yet more fancy dan egos who would rather be elsewhere.
