Dolphins Away Travel

Sengkang Punggol may never win the SLeague. In fact they hardly ever even win the bloody toss before a ball is kicked. They do though have a few fans out there somewhere, one of whom does A Fish Out Of Water the only regularly updated fan site in the SLeague as far as I'm aware.

After a pretty good start to the season, by their standards, they have slipped recently. But the club have decided to reward loyal fans by laying on a free coach to their away game at Bedok Stadium against Geylang United next week.

It would be good to see a few Dolphins fans sign up for this trip and get behind their team. I'm not sure the culture of following your team is that well ensconsed in Singapore where whiney fans like to complain about distances and lack of public transport but you gotta start somewhere and this is a bold move by the club.

Not sure why you would need to show your ID card though. Smacks of Big Brother or, in Singapore's case, someone keeping their beady eye on potential troublemakers.

Back to the trip. Perhaps the club could also offer the fans an opportunity to buy Sengkang Punggol shirts that can be worn on match day?

Comments:
A lot of progress behind the scene as we could see from the ailing club.

The revamp of the webpage with players info and pictures.
The backroom staff uniform, and even repainting of the barricades in the stadium in the colors of the team.

Little touches that show the management actually bother to inject some life to the club even when the action on the pitch proves otherwise.

Let's hope those who sign up for the ride do not expect to be ushered back cos it was in the term that the trip might be one way
