Malaysia's fine preperation continues
Indonesia U23 v Malaysia U23 1-3 (Sultan Sama;Amri Yahya, Baddrul Bahtiar, Safiq Rahman)
Indonesia's preperations for the SEA Games to be held in Lao next month were dealt a severe blow when they were beaten by the Malaysians in a friendly held in Palembang yesterday. The visitors goals came in a whirlwind six minute spell.
To make matters worse for the hosts captain Toni Sucipto missed a penalty.
Add this disaster to the prro results in the AFC Under 19s and things don't look too rosy at the international level for the Indonesians. This Under 23 squad have been together for a good few months now but have had to make do with friendies against local amateur teams.
But things look rosier for Malaysia and I'm surely not the only person to expect them to do well in Lao next month
