Kosin-mania hits Bandung
He may have changed his name to Sinthawechai but to thousands of Persib fans he will always be Kosin. And three years after his first spell with the Bandung club the Thai international keeper is back.
Yesterday was his first days training back in Bandung and the Persib faithful filled the club's base at Persib Stadium to catch sight of their prodigal son's return.
Approximately 5,000 fans filled the small stadium to watch him stretch a bit, happy enough to pay 2,000 IDR (about 20 cents) while the roads around the stadium were jammed.
Kosin will likely rejoin the Thai national team over the next few days as they prepare for their Asian Cup qualifiers against Singapore but he is slated to make his first appearance of the season for Persib on 21 November at home to Pelita Jaya.
Meanwhile the 'other one', Thai international Suchao Nutnum is expected to arrive in Bandung some time today, perhaps to a more sedate welcome!
