PSIS thinking about a quick return
They got relegated last season. But it was only 2006 when PSIS were puching Persik Kediri all the way for the Indonesian title. But the days of I Koman Putra, Harry Salisbury, Gustavo Hernan Ortiz and Emmanuel de Porras are nowt but a distant memory for the fans of the PSIS who next season will line up in the Premier League, Indonesia's second tier.
They are reported to being close to signing midfielder Gustavo Chena and striker Cristiano Lopez.
I'm not really given to grandiose statements, leave that nonsense for Richard Keys, but without the goals from the Brazilian striker Lopez it's fair to say Pelita Jaya would have been relegated themselves. As it happens he does earn his own relegation.
Chena was part of an exciting PSMS side that were runners up in the title race eventually won by Sriwijaya. That team was allowed to fall apart, read about it here, and Chena moved to Perlis in Malaysia and then Deltras back in Indonesia.
Expensive recruits if they come off but a statement of intent from PSIS.

The Manager of PSIS is chinese indonesian businessman from Semarang, he was in charge during season 2000-2001...and succesfully brought back PSIS to divisi utama in 2002 season.
