Yongky Aribowo (Persik)
Keep an eye out for this young man at the upcoming SEA Games in Laos if he makes the Indonesian squad.
Before last season there would have been little chance for any young player to get a sniff at Persik Kediri as they were choc a bloc with quality. Especially up front where they could boast players like Christian Gonzales, Saktiawan Sinaga and Budi Sudarsono. Sexy football in a farmer's field.
But the White Tigers couldn't pay the bills and one by one the big names left. Meaning 19 year old Yongky got the chance to shine.
And he didn't let down the side once he did.
It's hard enough to make an impression in the ISL, I talked earlier about players struggling to make an impression in the IPL, but that Yongky has established himself as a member of the first team squad at Persik speaks heaps about his talent.
