Fandi's comments
Last night saw the West Java derby played out at Jalak Harupat Stadium in Soreang and it ended with Pelita Jaya continuing their recent fine run by defeating Persib Bandung, in no mean form themselves, 2-1.
I congratulated Fandi and this was his reply
'Good stuff. Raining bottles and stones, we had to leave by armoured car as they terroised the stadium.'
The Pelita Jaya squad weren't able to leave the stadium until 10.30!
While this was a PJ home game it was played at the stadium shared by both sides right in the heart of Persib land.
It remains to be seen whether or not Persib get into trouble over this affair. It's not the first time their fans have misbehaved at home. They rioted after they lost to bitter foes Persija 3-2 earlier in the season with the last eight minutes being played after the fans had been cleared from the stadium.
And just last week a photographer from a sports tabloid was reportedly set upon outside the Jalak Harupat stadium after the Pelita Jaya v Persija game. His crime? His transport had Jakarta number plates.
