5 without a win

Persija v Sriwijaya 3-4 (Bambang Pamungkas 2, Agus Indra Kurniawan; Ambrizal, Obiran, Keith Kayamba, Claude Gon A Djam) 2,500

Pity poor Persija as they lost the lead and made it five games winless. The break for the election has really hit the Jakarta side as has the decision to play their home games far from their own fans. Sriwijaya too had struggled of late, juggling ACL commitments with more mundane ISL fare and had recently slipped up against lowly Persitara and Persita.

But against Persija in Malang two strikes from Kayamba and Ngon A Djam, his 21st of the season, in the dying minutes salavaged some respectability for the champions who had earlier twice been behind. AIK did have time to score one more for Persija with a delightful freekick but the points were lost.

Good game from two sides who had hoped to be influencing the title race a lot more than they have.
