Pattaya United
Bang Phra who last season played in the Thai Premeir League have had a makeover. They will be moving to a new stadium and will have a new name, Pattaya United.
Hopefully more clubs can adopt names that reflect their region rather than their corporate identity. Fans of Krung Thai Bank yelling abuse at visiting Bangkok Bank fans and saying they offer better interest rates is never gonna catch the wider public's imagination.
Chonburi, Nakhorn Pathom, Samut Songkhram and now Pattaya United are the way forward. Perhaps next we could have champions PEA change their name to Ayuthya Sparkies? TTM could become the Klong Toey Puffers?
