The Referee's a ...
One story has been making headlines here recently and for the wrong reasons. A recent game between Persibom and PSIR ended in farce with not one but two referees getting a twatting.
A penalty was given for handball, PSIR didn't like it so some of their players attacked the ref. i dont mean pushing and shoving in the manner of pumped up Aussie Rules strutters. This was the type of thing you see throughout England on a lager fuelled Saturday night out.
No lager here though. Just a group of cowardly bullies ganging up on one victim with a whistle and a pea. Check the video carefully and you will see a couple of sly kicks as the ref lies on the floor. Like I said, cowards.
Refs rarely change their minds and kicking the crap out of one ain't gonna engender too many sympathetic feelings in society. Not surprisingly the ref didn't want to carry. Indeed, he couldn't. The injuries were too severe.
The penalty was taken, a substitute ref waved some red cards and lo and behold it kicked off again. The new guy got roughed up, had his shirt removed by the cowardly shits and did a 100 metres in about 4 seconds.
The Indonesian media recently has been making cooing noises about the gracious manner John McCain conceded defeat in the recent US election. Bad losers here are as common as nightfall. Good losers as rare as flying rabbits.
Three of the thugs in boots have been banned from football for life. They also face the possibilty of criminal charges. These guys have names but I won't dignify them by using them here.
Suffice to say these clowns have once again dragged the name of Indonesian football through the gutter and sewers. All the preconceptions have filled the columns of papers that usually don't touch the game. Hel, this clip comes from a channel that is devoted purely to middle class soap operas where the stars have whiter skin than me or the Oil of Ulay lady.
