Kedah Never Thought of That!

With Malaysia kicking out the foreign players effective from the end of August Kedah and Perak now face AFC Quarter Finals against strong West Asian nations shorn of their best players.

Kedah especially will be without Malaysia's top scorer for the last two seasons Marlon Alex James as well as Chilean Nelson Martin and St Vincent and Grenadines Bernard Hugging.

Coach Mohd Azraai Khor said from Alor Star yesterday: “It was an oversight on Kedah's part as we did not take into account the AFC Cup calendar when preparing the players' contracts at the start of the season.

“The decision to ban the foreign players will hurt Kedah as we have the best three imports in the country. We will miss them. They played big parts in Kedah's recent successes. I thank them for their contribution and commitment,” said Azraai.
