This is Jakarta
Remember last year during the Asian Cup hosted here? During one of the games at Bung Karno there was a power outtage for about 20 minutes which really showed Indonesia in a good light.
Now we're in the power cut season again with various areas of Jakarta and its neighbours will be working in the dark for periods of several hours.
According to the people who organise these things there will be no power at Lebak Bulus from 3pm until 10 pm.
Whether this will effect the ASEAN Under 16s or not remains to be seen. Perhaps the organisers are aware of this. Perhaps there is a generator in place. Perhaps there is nothing to worry about.
Perhaps.
Or perhaps people from Australia, Bahrain, Malaysia and Singapore will return home after the tournament telling their friends about the time they played in Jakarta and the lights went out.
