Indonesia Lose Again

But you'd have guessed that so it's rather a redundant headline.

Indonesia v Malaysia 0-2
Australia v Singapore 1-1

Great result for Singapore against an under strength Australian side. As is often the case with Australian sporting sides, when things don't go their way they take the battle to another level. They get verbal, they get physical. Not dirty, they just up it a notch.

If you wanna result then you're going to have to work for it on their terms. The physical becomes psychological.

Singapore withstood the onslaught and left the field with their heads, though slightly wounded, held high. This was a test for them and they did a job.

As for Indonesia?

Ha ha ha. I can think of no positives from their three games so far. Instead I look at the squad members in front of me and wonder how bad they must be not to get in this team.

They play with lots of passion but they are totally lacking in technique, guile, basic control, awareness.

It ain't kick and rush. More kick and pray the ball goes near a team mate.

They do their hair like Ronaldo. They strut like Ronaldo at free kicks. They play like my cousins three legged Chihuahua Sophie.

Forget sending people to Uruguay, these guys should be sent to Canberra and the Australian Institute of Sport to learn a thing or two.

hi Mr Sutton, i've been following your blog since I stumbled upon it for Indonesian League updates a few months ago.. I must say your range of updates for the various competitions going along are quite varied indeed considering its only a one man operation?

anyways, i was wondering, aren't there any English-lang websites tasked by the Indonesian FA to cover the ISL? so that we can see team squads, news, league tables all under one website? i've searched and theres the official one in indonesian, but its not that good..

regards

the fa website does have an english language section but it is rarely updated

some squad lists may be found here...http://www.pssi-football.com/id/klubligasuper.php

the super league website is still under construction

the tv channel that covers the league doesn t have a fixture list
