Persik snap up Australian striker?
Rocko just left a comment to the effect that Persik Kediri have signed Chritian Vieri's brother Max. 442 Australia are confirming it on their website and even his Wikipedia entry has mention of it, all within the last two or three hours!
Interesting the report cites him as signing a two year deal. Clubs here rarely offer players anything more than a 12 month contract though it must be pointed out Persik are among the more forward thinking sides in the country.
New coach Arcan Iurie has been gathering together an experienced squad built around successful imports Danilo and Fagundez as he tries to win the Liga Super that begins in July.
There is uncertainty over whether leading goalscorer Christian Gonzalez will be with the club next season while an attempt to sign PSMS playmaker Gustavo Chena fizzled because he was on the foreign player blacklist.
