The uniforms go marching on
Normal service is being resumed in the SLeague with both uniformed teams last night securing convincing victories.
Dalian Shide's first season blues continued as they fell before an SAF onslaught that hit them for six. For 40 minutes it was level pegging as Duric gave last season's double winners an early lead but on 29' Zhao Honglue equalised. Duric got a second before half time but worse was to come for Dalian with a second half hat trick for Ashrin Shariff and Jamil Ali getting one.
At least Dalian finished the game with 11 players on the pitch for the first time this season but their first four games see them pointless and rooted to the bum of the table.
Home United also went goal mental, crushing Japanese side Albirex Niigata 5-1 in Jurong. Four first half goals essentially finished the contest as two goals from Ludovick and contributions from Peres de Oliveira and Shahril Ishak put the Cranes to the sword. Taisuke Akiyoshi pulled one back on 36' but Kengne Ludovick completed his hat trick deep in the second half.
1. SAFFC P4 W4 15-3 12 Points
2. Home U p4 W3 D1 12-6 10
3. Super Reds P3 W3 5-2 9
4. Tampines P4 W2 D1 L1 8-4 7
Tonight Super Reds come up against Geylang United at Jalan Besar knowing another victory would put them back in second place
